Weiber solar Air Jacket CO2 Incubator provides excellent protection from contamination by dry-heat sterilization. It offers precise control of temperature and CO2 and creates an exceptionally stable environment. It offers automatic two point CO2 calibration. Stability of the sensor brings temperature and humidity to equilibrium, especially following the opening of the door. And all these functions are carried out through electrical energy converted from solar energy. The solar powered incubators uses solar panels to capture sun rays and thus convert the sun energy to electrical by storing them in batteries and run the incubator.

It provides environment for optimum tissue cell culture growth. The chamber also provides an environment for the storage and preservation of gametes and animal tissue cell cultures at near body temperature

To ensure optimal conditions, the incubator is constructed of stainless steel chambers and shelves, removable door gaskets with guards to prevent damage when inserting shelves.

The solar panel converts sunlight into DC power or electricity to charge the battery. This electricity (charge) is controlled via a charge controller which ensures that battery is properly charged and not damaged. DC appliances can then be powered directly from the battery.

Method 1. Accessory: AC/DC adaptor.

The incubator can be powered by AC power (standard wall plug in a work space). This allows the incubator to be powered using conventional wall outlets and the unit can work without solar panels, batteries or a charge controller

Method 2. Accessory: solar panels, battery, charge controller.

The solar panel converts sunlight into DC power or electricity to charge the battery. This electricity (charge) is controlled via a charge controller which ensures that the battery is charged properly and not damaged. The solar incubator can then be powered directly from the battery.

Method3. Accessory: charge controller, solar panel, battery, AC/DC auto transfer switch, AC/DC adaptor.

This method combines method 1 and 2. By adding an AC/DC auto transfer switch, the incubator can operate using AC power. This is useful when the battery is discharged due to multiple rainy or cloudy days. When the battery can't provide needed electricity, the auto transfer switch can automatically switch to AC electricity (110 V /220 V). When the battery is recharged, the incubator will go back to DC solar power (12V/24 V).

    Batteries

    The battery most commonly used is the lead acid type, long life, deep cycle batteries are preferred. A capacity to run the incubator for two days without sun is recommended.

    Charge regulator

    The charge regulator maintains the power supply within the current and voltage range tolerated by the incubator and prevents overcharge of the battery. Some models include an audible alarm or warning light to signal when battery voltage becomes low

    AC/DC automatic switch

    The automatic switch allows for power priority. If plugged into the DC port, the battery has priority. The system will operate using DC (battery power) and will only switch to AC power if the battery is exhausted. If plugged into the AC port, the system will operate using AC power and will switch to DC power (battery) only in the case of a power outage. The DC port is preferred as this does not cost any money to operate.

  3. Material Of Construction: Castor wheel mounted cabinet is double walled with inner chamber of Stainless steel sheet of grade SS 304. Outer wall is constructed out of heavy gauge PCRC steel sheet duly degreased and pretreated with primers , duly painted with attractive stove enamel or powder coated .

  5. Temperature Control: The temperature inside the BOD incubator is controlled by intelligent programmable temperature controller and indicator. This controller is based on the microcontroller Nano watt technology and its ergonomic design suits for any specific requirement of the BOD incubator.
  6. Accurate Infrared CO2 Control System
  7. The WEIBER Carbon Di Oxide Incubator uses a microprocessor based, non-dispersive infrared CO2 sensor. The amount of energy diffused to the detector is an exact logarithmic function of the CO2 concentration in the gas between source and detector. The wavelengths used are absorbed by a filter in the CO2 bandwidth making the measurements insensitive to other components, such as water vapor. Advanced design provides a very stable drift-free output requiring less frequent calibration. The sensor is within the chamber air plenum so very accurate CO2 control is achieved.

  8. Insulation: The gap of 75 mm between the outer and the inner wall is filled with special grade glass wool to prevent thermal losses.
  9. Mineral Glass Wool Insulation: Glass mineral wool is one of the most environmentally friendly, stable and sustainable. It does not propagate flames and toxic smokes. The thick it is, the best thermal resistance it has, thus reducing heat losses in our equipments for better sensitivity and economical operations. And its impact on the environment is minimal.

  12. Doors:Full view inner glass/Perspex door permits inspection of specimens, without disturbing the chamber temperature. Lock and Key arrangement is provided in the double walled outer door.
  13. Illumination:Unit is fitted with door operated illumination lamp inside the chamber.
  14. Front Panel: The front panel is provided with separate indicator lamps for main heating and incoming voltage. Digital Temperature controller cum Indicator and voltmeter.
  15. Shelves: The unit is supplied with three shelves of stainless steel sheet.
  16. Voltage: To work on 220/230V A.C. supply.
  17. Refrigeration system:An energy efficient cooling unit is installed in incubatorsto enable studies at lower room temperatures. We use ISI marked high end CFC free compressors of Kirloskar/Tecumseh / Bitzer/ Danfoss make, conforming to latest international standards and guidelines.
  18. CONDENSING UNIT

    (1) AIR-COOLED CONDENSOR

    Air-cooled condenser is internally grooved finned copper tubes used for high heat transfer area, which not only reduce power consumption, but also bring down the condensation faster. This unit is designed. & verdigris & reduces the resistance, saves energy consumption and ensure good heat exchange.

    (B.) REFRIGERATION CONTROL (a).Low and High Pressure switch

    Which ensures the compressor and refrigeration system when low pressure will occurs it trip off the compressor. This is the only operator friendly switch can easily reset.

    (b).Hand shut off Valve

    Is the only Condensing Unit, which is equipped with it. This valve is used for pump down the total gas in to the condenser & receiver in the faulty condition.

    (c).Liquid Dryer

    Which is equipped in the liquid line for ministration of moisture in the liquid. It will collect all the moisture in side the refrigeration line as well as gas.

    (d).Moisture Indicator of

    The sight glass area in the Moisture Indicator shows at a glance the condition of the refrigerant system. The moisture indicator element changes color and indicate if the system is safely dry, or dangerously wet.

    (e). Solenoid Valve

    In most refrigeration applications, in order to automatically control the flow of fluids in a system, it is necessary to be able to start or stop the flow in the refrigerant circuit. An electrically operated solenoid valve is usually used for this purpose. Its basic function is the same as a manually operated shutoff valve, but it can be positioned in remote locations, and may be conveniently controlled by simple electrical switches.

    (f). Oil Separator of Stainless Steel 304

    The oil separator intercepts the oil mixed with compressed gas and returns it into the crankcase of the compressor, thus assuring an efficient lubrication of its moving parts. Also, it improves the overall efficiency in the system.

    (g). Suction Accumulator

    Maximum Efficiency of the relief device (expansion valve) because it is supplied with sub cooled Liquid.

    (h). Liquid Receiver

    As per ASME Section VIII Division I for storage of refrigerant.
