The Air Shower Tunnel from WEIBER is a protected passageway that allows the user to pass into controlled environment free from surface contaminants. these are designed to provide sterile air streams for the removal of dust and contaminating particles from the clothes and skin surfaces of the user as he/she stands in the tunnel or walks through it.They provide the maximum decontamination solutions for particle sensitive processes and other research applications requiring highly sterile working conditions.

Our Tunnel Air Shower are easy to operate and are quite economical. Our Air Shower Tunnel uses a combination of basic floor plan styles with individual air shower units coupled together side by side or end to end to create a tunnel configuration for the passage of large groups of personnel. They are designed to meet all the industrial specifications, making them perfect for use in pharmaceutical industries, microelectronics and semiconductor industries, aerospace industry, high precision manufacturing units and various other industrial applications.


One side flow: The unit allows one-way operation, with the clean side door locked and the grey side door unlocked at the idle state. This mode of operation helps in controlling the flow of traffic in and out of the clean room for maintaining maximum sterility in the working area.

Two side flow: The unit allows both side flows, allowing the air showers to be activated in both the directions. The user can exit through the clean room door or the grey side door, without compromising the sanctity of the clean air environment.

Tower flow: the flow is from the upper roof of the shower.

The air circulating within the air shower tunnel passes through the filter assembly, comprising of pre-filters and HEPA filters, for efficient removal of dust and contaminating particles within the equipment. The clean air is then passed through the nozzles at a high velocity to create pressurized air streams, capable of providing enough scrubbing action for the removal of particulate contaminants adhering to the clothes and skin surfaces of the personnel.The contaminated air is then directed downwards through the grilles and hollow walls of the air shower tunnel and is redirected towards the filter assembly for filtration and recirculation.

Our air showers useindustrial grade stainless steel (SS 304 or SS 316) as construction materials. The internal duct surfaces and all the visible surfaces are covered with plastic laminate to provide a uniform surface and are available in attractive finishes. The magnetically operated and interlocked doors on either side of the air shower tunnel do not open at the same time, therefore restricting the leakage of contaminants from the outside in to the clean room and the biohazardous substances from the clean room to the outside. They are made up of aluminum panel and feature clear view glass/acrylic windows to permit visibility. The compartment access panels are made of coated aluminum and are hinged for ease of handling. They are also equipped with appropriate number of adjustable nozzles mounted on the interior walls and ceilings for maintaining high velocity air streams.

Filter assembly

Our air shower tunnels use pre-filters and HEPA filters for removing particles as small as 0.3 microns in size and larger with around 99.97% filtration efficiency.The pre-filters are capable of eliminating around 85% of the dust particles, therefore reducing the contaminant load on the HEPA filters and improving its filtration efficiency and life span. The HEPA filters provide a uniform and laminar air flow within the air shower tunnel, therefore ensuring increased air conditioning and energy efficiency while minimizing cross stream contamination.

Illumination system

Our air showers use top mounted fluorescent lights for adequate illumination of the air shower tunnel. The fluorescent lights are concealed within a light panel and are designed to ensure uniform and even lighting throughout .The illumination system of our air shower conforms to US federal standards and provides an illumination level of more than 800 lux throughout the air shower tunnel.


Motor and blower assembly

Our air showers use ISI marked, statically and dynamically balanced motors and blower motors with a rating of 1/5 HP. The blower access panel is provided at the side of the shower. The permanently lubricated direct drive centrifugal blowers work in conjugation with the air nozzles to provide continuous high velocity air streams. The high efficiency pumps of our air showers with lifelong lubricated bearings ensure smooth and trouble free operation. The motor and blower assembly has a compact design and is completely integrated for increased energy efficiency and optimum motor cooling. The efficient motors and blowers ensure vibration free and quiet operation.


Programmable operation

The air shower tunnel uses microprocessor based controllers for precise control of various operating parameters. The programmable solid statecircuit control system is located at the junction box of the air shower and helps in maintaining optimum conditions of temperature, humidity and illumination within the working area. It also facilitates the adjustment and opening and closing of air nozzles and in setting the operation timer from 0-9,990 seconds. The junction box also houses an emergency setting button that allows switching off of the equipment with audio and visual alarms.
