The water monitor follows national standards which are established based on scientific guidelines such as Guidelines for drinking water quality promulgated by Ministry of Health in 2001,Guidelines for drinking water source (CJ3020-93), Guidelines for groundwater quality (GB/T14848-93), (Standards for water supplied by urban quality (CJ/T206-2005),Standards for surface environmental quality （GB3838-2002）and Standards for fisheries water quality(GB11607-89).
